BYA is a leadership development program within District 10 high schools. Youth identify as leaders committed to attending weekly lunchtime and after-school workshops to highlight their identities, enhance their worldly perspectives, define job preparation and draw near to a “pay it forward” lifestyle. With this, youth leaders contribute their emphasized leadership skills to civic engagement opportunities to promote togetherness in Bayview Hunters Point.
