We’ve worked hard to get a NERT training in the Bayview! What does that mean? – Free training which is close by that teaches you what to do in case of an emergency – You get great swag (cool helmet and vest) – Covered under California’s workman comp if we are officially called up. This is an extra level of protection that others will not have – You will know what to do for yourself and your family – Help others with tasks like search and rescue, cribbing, turning gas off if you smell it, and lots more – It’s a great thing to add to your resume for school, college, or a job – Become part of a leadership team throughout District 10. Who can be a NERT? There is a role for everyone from teens to older adults and seniors, NERT is about knowledge. There is a place for everyone at the table. Have back problems? No problem! In a wheel chair? No problem! I feel like I’m too old? No you’re not! No problem. I’m too young? As long as you are over 13 with a parent or legal guardian, no problem If you work at a local business or non-profit, ask your staff to participate. If the event happens during lunch time, wouldn’t it be good to know that 1) You have the skills to help yourself and others 2) Might be covered by workman’s comp through the State of CA If the Napa quake happened now, do you have what you need? Let’s learn together to make preparation fun. Please sign up for the full class or if you need to renew your NERT certification. We are re-vitalizing Bayview NERT. The goal is to get at least 30 NERTs certified in each of the areas: Candlestick, Silver Terrace, India Basin, Hunter’s Point/Hunters View, 3rd St – Evans to Palou, 3rd St – Quesada to Bayshore
