Community Input Session – Bayview Gateway Project

The Bayview Gateway project is an effort to identify and beautify the entrances to our Southeast neighborhood. The project, spearheaded by a group of community members with support from San Francisco Public Works and design services by the renowned design, architecture, engineering and planning firm HOK, has started to identify strategic locations and significant design elements that will unify the entrances to the Bayview. As your Supervisor, I am delighted to host a Bayview community meeting to discuss the project and gather your input. As a resident, we are asking for your thoughts and suggestions on the project and design elements identified so far. Please join us! Support for this project comes from Bayview Hill Neighborhood Association, the Bayview Merchants Association and other community groups working to improve the quality of life in our area. Agenda for this meeting will include: 1. Overall Concept 2. Summary of Community Input to Date 3. Design Elements for a ‘Kit of Parts’ 4. Potential Sites 5. Partnership and Stewardship Opportunities 6. Timeline and Next Steps
